Book a Consultation

For clients who are looking for expert guidance but are not yet ready to embark on a full interior design project, I offer one-to-one online consultations.

These sessions provide clear direction on the decoration, layout, sourcing and overall vision for your home, helping you make confident decisions and avoid costly mistakes. Whether you're struggling to pull a scheme together, need reassurance before committing to important decisions, or simply want an experienced eye on your plans, a consultation provides the clarity you need.

Conducted over Zoom, each consultation is entirely tailored to your project. Some clients walk me through their home using their phone or laptop camera, while others prepare a simple presentation or Pinterest board that we review together via screen share. However you'd like to use the hour, we'll focus on the questions that matter most to you.

What can we cover in a consultation?

A consultation can be used for almost any aspect of your home, including:

Furniture layouts and floor plans
Paint colours, wallpapers and fabrics
Upholstery, curtains and blinds
Furniture, lighting and decorative accessories
Joinery and storage
Kitchen and bathroom design
Renovation plans and construction ideas
Styling and finishing touches
Advice on where to invest your budget and where to save
Reviewing products you're considering before you buy
Sourcing recommendations and trusted suppliers

How Do I prepare for a consultation?

Preparation can be as simple or as detailed as you like.

I recommend preparing a PDF presentation or Pinterest board beforehand, containing photographs of the room(s) you would like to focus on, inspiration images, floor plans and any questions you would like to discuss. If there are products you're considering, you're welcome to include links to those too.

Receiving this information at least 24 hours before your consultation allows me to familiarise myself with your project in advance, so we can spend our time together discussing ideas rather than getting up to speed.

What do I receive after the consultation

Following the consultation, I'll send you a summary of everything we discussed, together with links to any products, suppliers or resources mentioned during our call. This gives you a clear record to refer back to as you continue with your project.

How much can we achieve in an hour?

Quite a lot.

Because I spend every day designing homes, I'm able to understand a space remarkably quickly and identify the changes that will have the greatest impact. Clients often tell me they're surprised by how much ground we cover in an hour, leaving with a clear plan, renewed confidence and a sense of excitement about moving their project forward.

If you would like to discuss more than 2-3 rooms, I recommend booking a two hour consultation.

What if none of the available times work for me?

If you can't find a suitable appointment, or would like to arrange a consultation further in advance than my calendar currently allows, please get in touch at info@effortlessinteriordesign.com and I'll do my best to find a suitable alternative.

What is the price of a consultation?

Consultations cost £550 for one hour, or £750 for two hours.

Prices include VAT.
